The whole problem is they are late to the table.
Smash Bros copy
Kingdom hearts copy
Marvel vs. Capcom copy
ect.
There are many mashup type games out there, but the successful ones are unique in their own way. no one would compare Kingdom hearts and Smash. Or Smash and a Tekken style fighter. Sony needed to come up with their OWN mashup of character in some way. Not just take what has been done and paste their maskots faces on top.
I have no idea's, but that the whole point. Sony needed to come up with something original, not something where everyone can easily point at not its influence, but its plaguerism.
