Both case will have the power to render a game in 1080p@60fps in 3D (120fps).

Well sure if the games graphics are poor. But I doubt that's the case for something like Metro2033. 

I think expecting 120fps 1080p 3D may be a stretch if we consider the horsepower needed to do that on a PC. 

I'll be more specific - what will that GPU be capable of in terms of Frostbite 2.0?

1080p 30FPS Maxed out shouldn't be a problem for BF3, targetting 60 FPS would result in a lot of fluctuations.
