Yeah I thought I did the right thing!!

I thought of doing it on my 250gb slim (1st slim) to test it, but I'm worrying that it will stuff up the number of PSN+ accounts, you know 2 account per user.

no if you just put that HDD into the slim to format it that won't do anything to your accounts (and the accounts are bound to your PS3s unque IDs, those are hardcoded into the PS3s chips and not on the hdd)

usually it will just format the thing (meaning everthing thats on the 1TB right now will be wiped) and think its a new PS3 when it's done, just power it off after that and put the real HDD of the slim in and it will be like nothing happend with that PS3
