I have the first Bayonetta but I really didn't care for it that much and I still haven't finished it. Also, after the horrible port job, and it really was incredibly shoddy, I have no urge to support the series or anyone involved with it. Even if I end up buying a Wii U, I doubt I would pick up Bayonetta 2 unless it's in the bargain bin.
I can understand how Bayonetta fans feel, though, and I wouldn't really blame them for turning their backs on the series. Bayonetta was a success, with around 2 million copies sold, which is pretty nice for a new IP in a niche genre. Any other publisher would have pushed a sequel and tried to build a franchise. Sega, however, is pretty much crap and sold the rights to the highest bidder. Because of the complete mismanagement of this series, I kind of hope it's something of a failure.
