I think it's absolutely possible. Wii U will end up selling no more than 40-45 million. People predicting 70 million for Wii U must be crazy! We can already see that the casuals have moved on to tablets and don't care about consoles anymore. That's why Nintendo is doing its best to promote games like X and Bayo 2. They want core gamers to return to their console.
I think that we will know the answer to this question this Christmas. We will already know how the market reacts to the new wave of Vita games (Killzone, Soul Sacrifice, Tearaway, etc.), we'll see if the sales finally pick up. We will also see how Wii U sales react to newly released games in the course of the year and how big of a blow the release of PS4 and new X-box deals.
Most of you guys were so certain that Wii U would get ahead of Vita in a matter of weeks when it comes to hardware sales. So far there is no sign of this thing happening, as both consoles are brothers in doom. What would you say should Wii U finish 2013 below Vita in total sales?
Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!
My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/
My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
