Disagree. The market for used games is huge, especially as publishers drive up prices and rely on a "cat in the bag" philosophy to sell these games full-price. High risk for consumers in a lot of cases, which is mediated by the fact that they have the possibility of selling it back and at least getting some of their money back.

The core gamers will whine but continue to buy whichever platform they prefer, but the mainstream market for Sony and Microsoft consoles will be eviscerated.
