Basically by saying you hope Gamestop fails you are litteraly hoping the gaming industry fails. One thing I know is the VAST majority of developers and publishers love us and have zero desire to see us go under.

The video game industry has said time and time again that used games are a problem and Gamestop is big on used games. Therefore, any bad news for Gamestop is good news for gaming.
Only core gamers who frequent forums would know about these statements, hence why this misguided opinion can only be found on forums.

Do you think if developers had a problem with us they would give us exclusive pre order bonuses on every single new title to help drive our business?
Or would developers all personally come out to our Gamestop Conference to go on stage and thank us?
The truth is we drive more new sales than anyone and most of all trade in credit goes towards the purchase or pre order of new titles

Sure that sounds fine but when they sell a game than buy back and sell that said game back at full price for a fraction of a cost doesn't help developers.
