It's out in October, so it doesn't have a lot of time. This is a hard one to predict, also because this time it will have a worldwide release.
I say 9.1m.
3.5m in Japan is almost a given, so that leaves just under 6 to distribute over the US and Europe. Given their slightly smaller user base, I'd say that's fair. This number will get it close to the #1 and #2 3DS games in no-time, lifetime I can see up to 20m, likely just below that.
