Maybe in the official organizational names, but in Japan it's almost always called in common speech サッカー (sakkaa), a direct port from "soccer".

Cool, I can see that. But do you know about some of the other Asian countries? It could be that Japan is just different from the rest , sort of like Asia's USA

Chinese: 足球 (zúqiú) from my rudimentary knowledge of Chinese, and it's actually the base of the antiquated Japanese word 蹴球 (shuukyuu).

Korean: 축구 (chuggu) from Google yay.
