I live in the US and I would absolutely love to see a Sony dominance here, I just don't see that happening. I look around and all I see are people who are loyal to the 360 simply because it's popular. Most of them stick to the same old arguments from early this gen (PS3 has no games). Most people I talk to still believe that to be true. Obviously it isn't but if they havn't figured that out by now they probably aren't all that into videogames. they just play a few, the big blockbusters that all their friends have. I believe the "gamers" here have no interest in anything that isn't trendy atm. I'm fairly certain the fanbase that Microsoft has managed to amass this gen will easily transition to the Nextbox regardless of anything else. |
You need to remember that fanbase of the people who think something is 'cool' had a PS1 then a PS2 then xbox360. The translation from PS2 to 360 just shows there is no mass brand preference. Just because Ms did well in America last time doesn't mean they will this time.
