This has to be a joke. An offensive one; PSV was lucky to outsell N-Gage.

Nice, now you're the one actually posting an offensive joke. :P

I think it is uncalled for because the PS Vita is actually a quality console.

Let's suppose for a moment that the PS Vita maintains this slow rate (which it won't, it will speed up) for a full 10 years, the usual Sony console cycle: that's about 35-40 Million consoles lifetime. It will still be better than Nintendo 64, Gamecube, Sega Genesis, Xbox, Dreamcast and others.

While I realize you were just giving a hypothetical situation, a console that only sells 3.5 - 4 million per year will not last 10 years on the market to begin with.  It would never gain the critical developer support to generate the market demand to last that long.

- PS Vita yet to receive a price cut; it will always be cheaper than the Wii U;
--------Neither has Wii U.   X360 has always been cheaper than PS3, did it matter?

- PS Vita already outselling Wii U in Europe (4 consecutive weeks now);
--------But not the US or Japan.  Or combined globally which matters more than just a single market when you're talking about what outsells what.

- PS Vita's competition is already out; Wii U's true competition is yet to come and it's falling short of sales targets already;
--------Vita also fell short of sales targets and has had it's target reduced several times.

- PS Vita's integration with PS3, PS4, PSN and PlayStation Plus could very well give it a boost via bundling or strong PS4 sales in the future; Wii U's networking services and integration don't look as strong;
--------Subjective and speculative.

- PS Vita is more likely to receive third party support than the Wii U once the new next gen consoles come out.
---------Speculative and likely irrelevant.  Did Wii need greater 3rd party support to outsell the PSP?
