So You're saying games release on vita these months will not affect their usual sales? So Soul Sacrifice on march and later april/may, killzone mercenary, tearaway. an all the others minor release will not affect the sales of PSVita and will sell les or the same as now? |
Same question could be asked to you: Do you think that Dragon Quest X, Pikmin, Wii Fit U, Game & Wario, Lego City, Rayman Legends, Monster Honter will not move hardware and affect Wii U sales?
Judging by Famitsu, the most anticipated games of 2013 that are coming for the Wii U are Pikmin at 7, and Dragon Quest X at 21. Sould Sacrifice is at 12 (Please note that this was conducted before the reveal of Nintendo Direct of Pokemon and Wii U games).
The Vita has had more than a year on the Japanese market. Nintendo in one month has nealry sold two thirds of Vita's lifetime sales. If one expects the same trends, Wii U should pass Vita's sales by Summer in that market with the help of the software mentioned before that are scheduled to be released by summer.
Wii U also has done more than two thirds of Vita's sales in the U.S. currently. Nintendo's offerings in the U.S. is much more robust and should eclipse the Vita as well by May with the software mentioned above.
In the end, the only market I see Wii U struggling in the short term is Europe.
