But it is a demanding game for your PC.

Guildwars 2 is only demanding on the CPU

Well, it's not only Guild Wars. I still can play like 90% of all games with high settings (thank you console ports^^), the literally only exceptions are (or should be as I haven't installed both of them) Battlefield 3 and the Witcher 2. With mid-range components from 2008-2009(!)

What about Crysis? ;o

Crysis 1 - High, I think. Haven't tested Ultra yet :P

Crysis 2 - Need to test, but a friend of mine with a worse PC had it on mid (or what is supposed to be mid, I haven't seen the menu of the game since at least a year), so I'm pretty sure I should manage high settings.

I should mention I still play at an resolution of 1280*1024 though. My 19" LCD screen just won't give up and my 25" TV will be replaced at christmas, before that I will stay with the old guy^^

haha, that resolution makes games run twice as fast in some cases.

I guess that's why I'm still able to play all these games with high settings. But if I connect my PC to my FullHD television most of thes games manage high settings with ~40fps, so that's fine.

I'll upgrade next year regardless. I need a Core i5-3570k to be able to emulate my Wii collection in FullHD^^
