They must've resorted to this bc of the franchise's poor sales. I just started playing Dead Space 1 with a buddy of mine a couple of days ago. We both were blown away at how good it is. Absolutely loving it so far.
Bc its so good, I'm really shocked at its sales, esp DS 2. I don't understand how such a well-made, high quality game like DS1 could have a sequel that ranks even higher (Metacritic) and only sells 2.5 mill copies COMBINED between ps3 and 360. That really sucks.
So, personally, if this DLC makes DS 3 a lot of extra money - and ESPECIALLY if that extra money allows for a continuation of the franchise - Im actually for it. The Dead Space games deserve to be 5 million sellers, AT MINIMUM (combined sales). Its a crime that they sell half that.
