There's two reasons:
1. The people who think the PS4 will destroy the Nextbox are just fanboys. No one can tell from now who will win, since we hardly know anything about the PS4/ Nexbox. Xbox fanboys also say that the Nextbox will win next generation.
2. People still think the PS brand is huge like it was in 2005/06, and they think that will make the PS4 the most successful, when really, the size of the brand is not a big factor as proven by the PS3. Also, the PS brand is much smaller than it was in the past.
