I think Sony is using this as an excuse so they look on par with Microsoft early on before launch. I just don't see them switching from 4GB to 8GB this late. Also with their statment of the more powerfull system not winning the war I think people will be very unhappy with the specs of the PS4.

You haven't been keeping up with the rumors have you?
PS4 = 4gigs of GDDR5 RAM
Xbox8 = 8gigs of DDR3
In terms of RAM PS4 > XBox8. If they update that 4gigs to 8 then that gap will widen even more. I say its unlikely as 8gigs of GDDR5 would add too much cost to the system.

Each will have their respective advantages and disadvantages. Blatantly saying 4gb Gddr5>8gb ddr3 is wrong.

No, it is 100% true. 4gigs of GDD5 is MUCH better than 8gigs of DDR3. It may be half but it is about twice as fast. I don't feel like looking up the specific bandwidth numbers right now.
