Really? What about PS1/2, they managed against Nintendo's first party games. Even though that should be the first thing people look at when getting a console, it generally isn't.

Exactly. It's not at all clear what they need to win. If anyone knew exactly what they need to face off against the others, they would win every time. No company has managed that (except maybe Apple), so they have to guess
