Indeed i think it will have a counterweight effect on the PS4 and X720. But, as they say: "ces't la vie".
I will enjoy the numerous doom threads we shall have.
Though the way to prevent that ripple effect somewhat is to have backwards compatibility. Lets see if Sony/Microsoft can check that box to avoid problems.
