It should not affect COD much or many other big games with loyal fan bases as not everyone like GTA. Not to mention the first consumers of consoles when they release are generally made by the biggest gamers with lots of free cash to throw around. I do not see GTA causing harm to the other parts of the industry.
Mostly I will be annoyed if MS pays for exclusive rights to DLC again. Even though I will probably by this 360 I find it to be a very assholish thing to do to consumers. Though all of them do it it makes me want to give the corporation a bird.
