Why wouldn't I be able to assume all other OEM's have doubled microsoft sales?

This doesn't even include the HP, Dell and Lenovo offerings which I can get through their sites. I know a lot of people who bought the Asus VivoRT for example when it went on sale for 399 with free dock.
In terms of other OEM's, Acer has been bitching about windows 8 saying its not growing the market... but Asus, Lenovo, HP and Dell have all said good things about touch screen device penetration and have advertised Windows 8 all over Toronto Canada. I can show you the main subway intersection in toronto as it's plastered with Asus Windows 8 touch screen ads.
As far as Surface sales sustainability, it will not do gangbuster numbers. Microsoft isn't positioning it to sell below OEMs and to less more than a million per quarter. If they sold it for 399 with a keyboard we would see where the sales would be... But they want. It's an awareness device that is very much a 1.0 product. Once surface 2.0 and 3.0 come out, we will see what microsoft wants to do with it and if they decide to go after that market agressively.
