Apple will likely do better out the gate and that will be a big hit on home consoles more than anything else... not for the core gamer, but for the much larger mass market as well as parents who will decide is a $99 iTV (box not TV) better for their family than a $399 Xbox/Playstation? (or even the media limited $299 WiiU) This is where I think MS actually stands a chance with their win8 based xbox and why I think Sony is going to fuck up with having console more like the PS3 and lacking a lot of "smart" features/apps/etc. (their 512MB OS footprint suggest it will not be a "smart" OS) |
