| Metrium said: EA are terrible anyways, if they lack the vision to see how WiiU is next gen despite other consoles being able to show 1 or 2 more pixel, that's their problem. Don't expect next gen from sony and M$ to be 1000% more powerfull unless they sell it for 500/600$. WiiU at 350$ is sold at a loss, some could argue that it's because of the controler, but a Xbox with Kinect2.0 bundled can't be priced at 400$ unless it is ''similar'' to WiiU. I believe next gen will be similar to GC/Xbox/Ps2. I believe EA is saying this because Nintendo peed on their cereal by refusing their crappy Origin as exclusive. EA had only good thing before this happened and they must have had insight on PS4 xbox720 already at that time. Now thei are bitter and that is all. Their is 2 possible scenario, either I'm right, or I'm wrong. If I'm right, then with WiiU being similar to it competitors their will be no reasong for sale not to pick up when Nintendo realease more of their big games and EA won't have a choice to support the system the same way their doing with the other 2 since the WiiU will have a fanbase and similar specs. If they don't they will look stupidly stuborn and lose money. If I'm wrong, Xbox720 and Ps4 will both cost 450/500$. With WiiU being the cheapest system on the market, the sales will pick up when games are released. WiiU atm is the most expensive system on the market, when it will suddenly become the cheapest sales will turn around for the same reason the Wii, the PS2, the DS and 3DS were so successfull. When this happen, EA won't have a choice to support WiiU like they did with Wii, this means lazy ports of sport franchise and some shovelware. Either way, EA's lack of vision, their stubornes, their lack of trust from gamers and their hypocrisy are the reasons why I strongly believe that EA will be only a shadow of it's self by the end of this gen. I believe they posted losses for the last quarter right? And If I'm correct their have been posting losses for a while no? If I'm wrong someone plz correct me. Losses on Q3 is a clue to what's to come. |
To be honest, I don't like 99% of EA games.
However, I think they are an extremely important third party to have. Missing out on their huge IPs while the rival platforms get them is a major problem for any console (Fifa, Battlefield, Dead Space, NFS, Mass Effect etc).
