I'll agree that last gen was better in terms of overall quality. I think this gen still has some pretty nice gems and decent JRPGs. This is how I would base them based on the ones I own and have played. This is on consoles only. Not including handhelds.
High Tier:

Final Fantasy XIII-2
Arc Rise Fantasia (say what you will about the voice acting, and i'll agree. The game itself was awesome).
The Last Remnant (buggy, but damn fun!)

and I still have not played Tales of Graces F.
Then you got Xillia, Toki to Towa, Lightning Returns...and more coming. This generation hasn't been all bad, so I don't understand why people say "ohh only 2 of the 5 JRPGs this gen were good."
