I'm not saying that every game will be ported to WiiU, or even that it will be possible to do it (in 3 or 4 years when developers use the Nextbox/PS4 power to their limit), I'm just saying that this time the ports will be easier and cheaper to do because the architecture will be similar (1 CPU with multiple cores and 1 modern GPU) meaning that if the sales on WiiU are good, devs will continue to bring their games on the platform. But then again, they have to launch the games on WiiU first to see if they sell or not, something that I fear not every publisher will do (Bethesda, for example). And no, launch ports aren't a good measure for the future sales. |
Yeah, I've never understood how certain publishers just ignore Nintendo... I understand why they skipped Wii, but Wii U should be a different story - as you say! If Wii U gets good ports I can see WIi U becoming the best selling system this gen; if it gets shitty ports it'll be dead last
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
