back in feb 2011 when sony announced the vita they said that there will be a call of duty, uncharted, resistance and killzone, i really doubt that they would give just a year for sony cambridge to make the game when they knew 2 years ago they would be making it. this game would have atleast been in development for atleast 2 years by the time its released, considering that sony bend had 2 years to develop uncharted GA

Studio Cambridge's last game was released in October 2010.  I'd assume they maybe did a bit of cross-studio work with Guerrilla helping to finish KZ3, but otherwise, I'd imagine they'd have been working on KZ Mercenary since early 2011.  So it'll have had two-and-a-bit years of development, plenty of time really (Bend had two-and-a-half years developing UC Golden Abyss, but they were working without finalised dev kits).

Resistance was the rush job to get out early in Vita's life; Call of Duty was the 5-month-development-cycle game Activision pumped out when they realised Black Ops 2 wouldn't run on Vita.  Killzone has always been the 'big' game that was supposed to push graphics and multi-player capabilities on the console, in my opinion.  So let's hope it turns out well!  From what I've seen so far, I don't have any worries.
