Well, according to http://consolewars.eu/messageboard/showthread.php?t=57515 the PS3 had at the End of 2007 754.000 units sold in UK. "Captain Smoker", who wrote that post, is a very reliable user and only uses numbers from official research companies. (I'll ask him, where he got that number)

So, in January the PS3 must have sold 246.000 units to reach the million. Thats simply impossible. Besides that, according to Chart Track both - 360 and PS3 - sold nearly identical in the last week - so the 360 then should have sold at least 220k in January... a very high + unrealistic number, too.

I think these are shipped numbers. Chart Track did not really confirm these numbers either... they said "SCE UK has confirmed..."....

That 754k number was from a readers digest survey and was an estimated numbers based on their own record to give Bluray and HD DVD numbers for UK. They were not Charttrack numbers.

Also, this doesn't explain charttrack claiming that the PS3 outsold 360 for the past month and selling equal for the last 3 weeks of last year while VGchartz says the opposite. Either PS3 numbers are too low (Most likely) or 360 numbers are over estimated by Vgchartz. Simple as that, either way.
