Legalizing drugs will dramatically reduce crime and bring in so much profit. I don't know who is paying the federal gov't to keep drugs illegal but they must have deep pockets. 

Absolutely. Much of the regulations on alcohol and cigarettes should be removed for similar reasons. Regulations on guns and prostitution need to be rolled back for similar reasons. The government creates these conditions. The government can go a long way to help solve many of these problems but elimating dozens of laws.
