I was going to reply to this thread with a lengthy rant about the ignorance of politicians, but then I remembered we all knew politicians are retarded and that would serve no point. Either way, I bet every person who ever went on a rampage saw Die HArd, maybe we should ban Die hard. I bet they saw 24, too, let's ban that, while we're at it.

I see the same arguments against games all the time, and it's just sad. "Stop playing Fake plastic guitar, go out and get a REAL guitar." to whit I reply "Stop killing people in games and go join the army, kill people for REAL!"

Sad thing is, that's how people see it from an outsider's perspective. There's nothing wrong with a videogame. If playing doom and Call of Duty can make me a killer, then explain to me why I'm not a professional race-car driver or football player. Explain to me why I'm not a rock star. Explain to me why I'm not a parkour master. I get that 'games are interactive' and that makes them more engaging, but the media was claiming the same types of things about TV because the visuals were more visceral than the headless voices of radio of years past.

Games are just the new medium politicians can pick on. It's our rite of passage. Don't take these morons seriously.
