So do you think that those stand out? Tell me anime or games that artisticly stand out as being different that is also good at the same time. JRPG gaming is on a decline so i just want answers and it would be nice to hear from people who are fans of JRPG and anime type stuff.

I cant say much about games due to the fact that I barely played any "New" jRPGs of this generation.
But I can name a few anime which are good and stand out from the usual generic crap they usually make from time to time to appeal to the average otaku.
Note - Not gonna list any mainstream anime (i.e. the big ones like Naruto, One Piece, DragonBall Z, Bleach, etc).

There's others but I cant think of any atm.
Anyways, just to let you know - if you honestly think the earlier examples that I gave you are the general concept or how every anime is, only thing I can say is....you just dont like anime. Anime is something that was created in Japan so its obvious that each anime might share similarities in style however to say that every single anime is exactly the same in artwork, story, characters, etc is just wrong.
Nothing wrong with not liking one thing but another - I have a friend who loves jRPGs but hates anime. You dont need to like jRPGs AND anime, I know some people who love anime but wouldnt dare touch a jRPG because they just dont like RPGs.
As for me I just enjoy both jRPGs and anime for the storyline mostly, art style being a specific type does help but it doesnt affect my choice of watching or playing...
actually scratch that, I honestly didnt play Persona or Shin Megami Tensei cause I didnt like how it looks like ;p until I actually gave it a try and played the game fully. Maybe you should watch one of the shorter anime (like the ones from 6 episodes to 30 episodes) - maybe your position on how you look at anime might change?
I recommend FLCL.

I'm sorry man, I wasnt trying to say anime is bad or that JRPG games are bad. i tried to make it obvious that I just personally dont like them. Did i say something wrong in the thread because most people's comments are somewhat like this? I just wanted to hear peoples opinions on why JRPG gaming is on the decline and if it had anything to do with the way I personally look at JRPG games. Sorry if you or anybody else interpretted it any differently. Everybody likes different type of games and shows.
