Don't be dense, his point is pretty clear. He liked Lost, thought it was epic, and think Abrams could pull off that level of epic with SW. Even though I disagree about LOST's amazingness (after realizing they were just making it up as they went along and had no clear direction), I still can see where he's coming from. I hate posts like "what's your point?" when it's pretty clear what he's trying to say, even if you or I disagree.

I asked what his point was because abrams actually had very little to do with lost.  He helped plan out the basic story arc and the pilot episode and then handed it over to a couple of other guys to produce.  He just slapped his name on it.  Whether he liked it or disliked it has very little to do with abrams.  That was the point of me asking what his point was.

That's true.  Most of what happened in LOST was headed by Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse.
