And unlike America, China is not even one of the largest polluters in the world if the size of the population is taken into account. Which is the only thing that makes sense, because it's completely pointless to compare the total emissions of countries like USA (300 million people) or China (1400 million people) with countries like Luxembourg that have 0.5 million people, unless you just want to fool people with numbers and statistics.

And in the case of China, even the emissions per capita are not perfectly comparable to other countries. Because China is a very export-oriented country producting goods for other countries - so the chinese products that people in America or Europe buy are accounted to China's pollution, while the consumers over here buying these goods are the ones actually responsible for the pollution.
