To be fair though, he is not painted as hero in American history. He also recanted all those statements after leaving the nation of islam and going to mecca. He apologized after meeting muslims of differing races including white. So clearly he is not painted as a hero, because most people don't even know that part about him. But hey the father of the FBI was a known racist and bigot/ and a closet homosexual who used his power and influence to oppress certain groups and to blackmail others in power. actually he got a movie as well.
