I've always wondered this as well. Movies and what happens on TV have far more output than what you would see in a video game. You would think they would go straight there but nope...too busy worrying about video games.

The main arguement lies in the interactive angle.

In Die Hard you are watching a bunch of people get shot.  In Dues Ex, YOU are doing the shooting.

That may be so, but Deus Ex is probably no more graphic than a Die Hard movie. 


Right, but again, the argument is watching someone shot on TV, vs shooting someone in a game.

In otherwords, those people would argue it's the difference of being desencitized to someone being shot, and being desencitized to shooting someone.
