Yeah I remember seeing Germany going for a combination of renewable energy and nuclear fission. Seems like it paid off.

As for the US, its still one of the highest contributors of greenhouse gases as shown by that chart. I remember USA not taking part in the Kyoyo Protocol. Plus the it even contributed to an overall increase in the radiation count of the entire world (although minute) from all the nuclear weapons testing and use it has done over the years. So I don't know what you are talking about.
