And if that's the case, considering how important online has become, and is further becoming in the future, I might as well not even bother with a PS4, because it would be more of Sony Online Incompetence.

Sony better figure it out.....Move Heaven and Earth if need be.....they had better.

PS....A credit refund would also be acceptable.

Compensated how?  If hurt feelings, and broken trust alone, are a basis for getting compensated, then there is not enough money in the world to pay that off, irregardless of how much quantitative easing the U.S Federal Reserve does.

Basic tip here: Expect your company of choice for consoles to make numerous decisions that will bother any annoy you.
