With that said, DmC would be a great new IP, but its an insult to the legacy of the series and to the fans.
The series was in upward trend, it certainly didnt need a reboot, and not a juvenile reboot like this. Capcom needs to hire Platinum to make devil may cry 5 for them.
But, thats what happens. When you s**t on your fans, they s**t back on you.


Having played both I dont see how anyone could realisticaly say Devil May Cry 4 was a better game than DMC

I dont see how anyone could realistically say it isnt.

Graphics, gameplay, story and overall style... all better on DMC4. Only thing DmC has better is the free roaming camera.

Disagree on every point as do the majority of reviews.  In fact the only people I see complaining are the ones who cant realize the franchise was tired, dated and in desperate need of a refresh


I am not complaining. I am saying i find Devil may cry 4 more enjoyable. Or is that forbidden? The time where reviews = the opinions of the majority of gamers is far behind us. You can talk about your opinion and about the opinion of those reviewers, but thats about it. I believe you just want to play the victim. :) Its ok, i like rooting for the underdogs too, but i am honest when i say i find Devil may cry 4 better than DMC in a logical analyses. Actually, all DMC has done is make me feel like rebuying Devil may cry 4 (i was dumb for selling it. I assumed at the time there would be more in the series).

I understand aswell that DmC is more appealing to the average consumer, wich is why its getting good reviews.

With that said, the franchise was not tired and in need of a refresh. DMC4 sold the most out of all the titles. It was growing in popularity. The reason why they outsourced it, was because the people that made DMC3 and 4 left capcom and went to platinum. Next your going to tell us how Bayonetta is dated and in desperate need of a refresh.
