"New Users. Because new users have not yet shown a commitment to civil discourse, moderators will look more harshly upon them (and upon prolific rule-breakers) than established users with relatively clear moderation histories. If you are a long-time member of the site, it is easy to tell the difference between a light-hearted, humorous post, and a genuine piece of flamebait. This distinction is far less clear when you are a new user, so we advise caution."

The rule itself might not be a problem, but some users on here heavily abuse it to post bullshit while newbies can easily get banned for one uncareful post.

How long until you are no longer "new" though?...

Age discrimination!!!!?

2010-2013 users reunite!!! jkjkjk..........jk.

I understand the rule to some degree though. New users are sometimes too eager, like weeee, people who sometimes will post like everywhere creating WTF all around them. Older users can't tend to keep up with it. Though I would argue some of the new users here keep the forum really active... like wow, 600 posts within 10 days or something. I wouldn't want to drive around the older users away. I joined mostly because of the people already established here.

I totally understand that, but some users really abuse their freedom sometimes. Depending on how active you are you'll surely know 2-3 of them^^

Just remember what shit got down in the Crysis 2 thread...
