You're right. Also Atari got taken over back in the 1980s after (or maybe even before, not sure) the Great Crash of 83.

Pretty much. Not sure why anyone would buy Atari for the name though, considering the company was notorious for making terrible business decisions that led the company to self-destruct. Oh well, its their money I guess.
