Glad you found it interesting :D

i honestly can't say much else because god of war 3 was my first and only god of war game so far
but upon beating it i really did wonder what happened when kratos stabbed himself and crawled away from the scene ( at least the blood trail implies he did ) because i wasn't really clear at all on what happened
so this really sheds some light on the whole thing
i'll definitely be there for ascension though and i think that'll clear things up even more

If GOW3 was my only GOW game I would think Kratos was a pointless murder as well. The game does have a reason for his rage and it can only be understood by playing the saga. If you care to understand, the sagas price should be pretty good at this point. :)

i know its a common complaint but i never believed that to be the case
i always knew that there had to be reasons for kratos' actions in gow 3 ( which should be obvious since cronologically its the last game in the series so far )
so i've been reading up on the story and its clear to see why he feels the way he does from how his family was killed to how his mother was treated etc etc etc
and its not as if the gods and titans were innocent either
i don't see how someone could be expected to go through these events and not be enraged

The last straw as to why Kratos snapped was revenge for (Spoiler): The death of his brother Deimos. His thoughts and dreams led him to figure out his brother was abducted by the gods when they were children and so he pursed his dreams and found his brother only to lose him again by the man the gods hired to detain him. During Ghost of Sparta, Athena and the rest of the gods try to stop Kratos from finding out the truth and after Kratos fails to save him, he returns to mouth Olympus with a huge scowl on his face ready to rip the place to shreds and at that point Zeus has no choice but to overthrow Kratos as the God of War in the beginning of part two. Kratos' reason for being pissed went a while without being explained. Just in case you would like to know, the reason Kratos brother was abducted was because the fates revealed to Zeus much like the fates revealed to his father Chronos that he would be overthrown, but this time it would be at the hands of a pale warrior. The gods mistakened Kratos' brother for him and left Kratos believing his brother was dead for years.

yeah i know as i said above i read up on the story
its really weird how zeus' actions actually fulfilled the prophesy he was trying to stop from coming through
