I have already played those old third party games on my PS3 so there is no reason to buy it again on Wii U, and if i was to buy them now I would buy them on the PS3 as they are now cheaper (and there's trophies). I bought the Wii U cos of ZombiU. Whether buying a new console for one game was a good idea (cos I really dont like Mario and Zelda games) remains to be seen.
Although your point of not having these games on the Wii is valid, I expect most who purchased a Wii U are core gamers so they would probably have more than one console (like myself). The casual Wii audience who would not be interested in the games you mentioned are probably not the majority of Wii U owners.
