They have no responsibility to convert your PS3-platform purchased titles to work on a supposed PS4. You bought those titles for a PS3, you will have no problem continuing to play them on a PS3 when the PS4 comes out. It's not like those PS3 titles will be any better on the PS4.
All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
