Yes, because the invites have zero value, for the reasons I said: everyone gets lots of Dota2 invites (I have some on my Steam account I can't be bothered to retrieve) and that Valve will give you one in 1-2 weeks via the signup page regardless. Asking people to put in effort, to be grateful to you as a benevolent dispenser of keys who judges the worthy to recieve them, and to value said keys is ridiculous. |
I don't see anything wrong with what he is asking. He is letting people know what to expect and that there will be penatlies for abandonment or griefing. If they don't like anything he stated, they have other options to acquire a beta key. A game or not, in a competitive event, no one likes it when people leave or make a concerted efforted to ruin the games they are playing.
I feel this game is more enjoyable than LoL, but both have their strategies and play styles. Although similar in some respects, they differ a bit on how to be most effective in each. If you play RTS games, you should pick up the game pretty easily, just need to learn the heroes' abilities, interface, and which items best support your playstyle. Pretty much everyone you play with will have an opinion on what you should do. The best thing is to play bot games to learn the basics first.
Obviously, the team that works together best, will usually win the game. It seems like 90% of the people who play team-oriented games do not realize this.
