a disc format doesn't make it the same system. The architecture will be different so it will have to be a dongle or something.

How would the PS3's architecture fit on a dongle? That would be difficult

The PS3's cell and RSX chips have already been reduced heavily in size. Given some development basic heat syncs should be able to cool the dongle enough to avoid the need for a fan, amidst not needing an internal power source if power can be routed from the PS4. If not an external power brick.

Wouldn't it still need it's own graphics and RAM alongside the cell?
