No, I think Wii U would be Dreamcast (as in like, not even close to the others), Durango would be PS2 (a noticeable gap but not too drastic), and PS4 would be Xbox (the clear, decisive leader in horsepower). GameCube was near enough to Xbox in performance that it doesn't get an equivalent in this analogy.

??? Based on what would you make that analogy? If anything the rumors would put the nexbox and ps4 at pretty much equal performance. Of course, it is way too early to make any kind of definitive analogies, so this is just an exercise in futility...

You mean the link that says ports would be easy because they would have similar architecture? The link that says they will have essentially the same cpu and gpu? The link that describes two different approaches to memory, neither one neccessarily better than the other? The link that is completely devoid of actual specifics but just generalities? The link thats only source is an anonymous user on reddit claiming to be in the know?
basically, the rumor is crap to begin with, but nothing in that rumour actualy indicates ps4 would be as far ahead of the nexbox as you are trying to indicate with your analogy?
