Exactly.
I think personally, a "generation" is basically the oldest PC you can get that can run all of todays games comfortable at low image quality settings.
So in otherwords starting with a 6+ year old Core 2 Quad Q6600.
Or it could mean each successive Direct X generation? The consoles launched in the Direct X 9 era... And it shows with their horrible Image quality.
OR, it could mean hardware generation, we get yearly refreshes so we should be in Gen 20-30 by now shouldn't we? :P
