PS1 was actually slightly less powerful then the Sega Saturn also.  But the Saturn was a lot harder to program for and none of its games probably came close to fully using the hardware.

ps1 was better at 3d and sega saturn much better at 2d from what i read. ps3 and 360 are  equal in terms of power, ps3 sold less cause the blue ray drive kept the ps3 too expensive.
