Ahahahahahah! ...Ahahahah!!...Ahahah!! Oh that was good...microsoft is the "future" of tv. Maybe if this was 1996 lol.... That's a good one. Post PC world isn't looking very hospitable to microsoft. It's their own fault though.

Not sure if serious or just trolling.

Kinect, XBox are huge sucess... MS is already winning Tv battle with Xbox 360, let alone 720.

Post Pc world ? where do you live ? Pcs are here to stay, dont be fooled boy. Without Pcs world was doomed there wouldnt be videogames or most of things that are today.

Pc were the past, are the present and the Future.

Are you living in reality? Samsung, Apple, and Google are dominating every multimedia device out on the market. The xbox is "winning" the tv battle? How? By paying Sony and other studios to use their content on the xbox marketplace, that no one outside xbox fans use? Any numbers to support your statement? No, didn't think so. I laughed when I read that comment you made.... delusional lol. No offense there, dude.

Streaming video is dominated by Apple, followed by Android, and probably will for a long time.  Thankis for injecting some reality into this.

I dont think that is true. Is apple known for being a big video streaming company? never heard of them as such. When i think streaming video i think netflix, hulu, etc. for tv xbox is the only non cable device i know of that streams rgualr tv as a tv (as in on a channel at a time just like a cable box). MS also makes some of their own shows i think for xbox live. Its pretty interesting what ms has done as far as a cable box, digital movie distribution device.

I agree that microsoft has done some interesting things with their offerings. The "original" programming is not a microsoft exclusive feature. Sony has done the exact same thing. Having exclusive content doesn't mean you're dominating any industry lol. There's no connection there. Clearly you're not aware of Itunes. I believe at this time it is the number one streaming/download service used for content. Considering the amount of Iphones/Ipads/Apple devices out on the market.

Microsoft isn't leading anything. Neither is Sony. Sony does controls a MASSIVE catalogue of content, via Sony Picutres Entertainment their Music Group etc... So my point stands. Microsoft has to pay Sony, to use their content. Xbox fanboys can't stand that fact lol.

I dont think most people care. Its most likely not ms paying to use sony pictures, but sony pictures getting a cut off of the rental fee, just like any other rental service. I know with itunes you can buy movies and music, but i did not know they streamed movies and tv. And MS is leading in the cable box area as no other company has that option. I cant use my apple device with my fios network (cable) to watch programming, nor can i do that on a sony device. I can only do it on my xbox, or my cable box. That is where they are leading. As far as i know sony nor apple nor google have any partnerships with any cable companies so it would be hard for them to get network tv going as it takes time to strike those deals. I am talking about TV service in particular here, not buying shows, or renting, or streaming, but using my xbox to watch the sci fi channel live as its aired etc.

Edit: What I mean is right now i pay a 15$ a month rental fee for my DVR and Cable box, my 360 can almost cover that spot, it needs dvr functionaltiy and access to a few more network for my use but its almost there, the 720 may be what i need. So if they continue down this road the 720 may replace my cable box altogether and i will save 15$ bucks a month. No other device besides another cable box can do that. Even a pc with a tuner card still needs a cable boz to allow it view the channels you subscribe through cable service.
