PS vita failed because of not having one killer ip, not having an official price cut and bad word out of mouth, high price tag ( compared to 3ds) and to many ports instead of system sellers.
Wii U failed because- wrong advertising, no games after launch, to many ports.
I still think that people only dont knwo what to buy right now. Should they buy a PS3 or wait for PS4, should they buy x360 or the next x box., should the buy Wii U or a PS3. I think most peole really dont know what to buy and simply wait till they are convined for some product etc.
