IMO (without ever seeing it) the biggest problem with 'Kinect 2' from a business perspective is that you don't get a second chance to make a first impression ...
Lots of Kinect Sensors were sold but it doesn't appear to have a long lasting impact on people's purchasing habits. For example, Dance Central has dropped from 3 Million sales of the first game to 500,000 of its third game, and games in general that are Kinect only saw far lower sales (compared to similar games) in 2012 than they saw in 2011, and none of the games released in 2011 were as big as the games released in 2010.
Essentially, how does a company sell a product that is conceptually identical using the exact same brand to a customer base that is generally disappointed with the original product.
