The present government and it's forces have done nothing wrong at all, as have none of the present people of Japan, wishing death on them for something that happened 70 years ago borders on retarded. If the government was 'completely destroyed and humiliated' as you wish, you can bet that in the process and aftermath thousands, if not millions of innocent civilians (a solid portion of whom would be children) would die as a result. Chinese military superiority in the region would be incredibly dangerous as well, not only to Japan, but Vietnam, India, South Korea and practically every other country in the region as China's ridiculous territorial claims would be enforced.

People shit on germans all the time for WW2, even today still. Despite Germans shoving billion times more remorse, apologies and improvement in mentality. Whereas as Japanese don't even know/recognize their crimes, some of the criminals are still given respect and recognition today. Also, the country's extreme xenophobia make me question do they even think Japan was on bad side during the war.
And I'd say American military superiority in the world has been proven to be alot more dangerous than chinese superiority in Asia...
